<\/a>Our staff worked very hard on our proposal for the South Carolina Artists’ Ventures Initiative Grant, which is offered by the wonderfully terrific state agency\u00a0The South Carolina Arts Commission<\/a>. Our efforts were rewarded! Healing Icons\u00a0received a grant of $5,000 to fund our traveling art exhibition project, collectively titled Sometimes Words Art Not Enough<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n S.C. Artists’ Ventures Initiative is funded by a major grant from\u00a0Leveraging Investments in Creativity (LINC)<\/a>, a national initiative that works to improve conditions for artists<\/strong>, enabling them to more readily do their creative work and contribute to community life. As a part of this national initiative, the Arts Commission draws from and contributes to the research, resources and tools being forged by the national network.<\/p>\n
